Erringibba Gas Project

EnergyCapture is the 100% owner of the petroleum exploration license ATP 2044 located in the Surat/Bowen Basin, approximately 30 kilometers south east from Wallumbilla. The 1000 km2 license area contains significant untapped unconventional gas resources. EnergyCapture is evaluating the potential to develop this resource using innovative technologies to provide Australians with cost-effective, reliable and sustainable energy supply which can contribute to reducing Australia’s carbon footprint.

Unconventional gas resources are accumulations of gas that cannot be readily accessed with traditional petroleum industry technologies. There are three main categories of unconventional gas resources are coal seam gas, tight sands, and shale gas. Modern techniques developed in North America have the potential to be employed in Australia. Being located close to some of Australia’s large population centres and industries and existing energy infrastructure, ATP 2044 has the potential to contribute to Australia’s journey towards economic growth, cost-effective energy supply, and transition to a lower-carbon future.
